Several spy shots are showing an appearance of Chevrolet’s prototype of next generation for a pickup truck which was being tested. From the shots, we can see that Chevrolet is staying the course with the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado. Based on the newest batch of spy photos, those captured images show prototypes which were being tested in Michigan with lightly updated styling inside and out, and it appears to be a different exhaust setup which is suggesting new powertrains. Well, we can see that General Motors is bringing its famous line of Chevrolet Silverado a new look, and the clues to the future designs based on the spy shots are beginning to emerge. The next generation pickup trucks of the automaker are beginning to come into focus. From the shots, we get a peek of some changes to the next 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 which looks more evolutionary than revolutionary.

The spy images show us that the automaker was testing its prototypes of the upcoming trucks outside, and it shows us the best look at the futuristic new headlights for the next generation pickup trucks as well. From there, we got some clues about what to be the interior and exterior of 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The upcoming pickup truck Chevrolet Silverado seems to have the front end that appears topped by a stack of jewel-like headlights. It marks the first time that this model has been seen without full camouflage covering the headlight as an indication that this is a production-ready design. The prototypes shown on the public highway may represent high-end trims that are fully loaded and luxurious. The prototype is spied alongside a Ford F-150 Platinum. It is indicating that the prototype here is a range-topping variant, or at least close to it. All information surrounding the pickup is still scarce. We know that the next 2019 Chevrolet Silverado won’t feature an aluminum bed, though we can see the material may be incorporated elsewhere. On the next-generation pickup, we may also see Delphi’s dynamic skip fire technology makes its debut which would make for unbelievable efficiency gains over the current pickup trucks. However, we expect to see the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 revealed at sometimes in 2018 before it is going on sale for the 2019 model year.

Interior and Exterior

From the spy shots where we get our first peek at the next-generation pickup’s interior, we see the best look yet at its redesigned front end, and a new engine enters the test fleet. The unveiled center stack is showing us that the Chevrolet Silverado’s ostensibly new interior doesn’t venture too far from the current generation. Some of the surfacings seem to be new, and it looks like the next-generation of Silverado will be getting a larger infotainment screen. Apparently, if we look at this initial snapshot, the next-generation pickup doesn’t seem like the 2019 interior will change much, at least visually. Furthermore, we see the OnStar, and Emergency buttons of the upcoming truck will move their current mirror mounted position, that is to a new spot on the headliner. From the zoomed steering wheel images, we can see what looks to be a small joystick or toggle switch. It could indicate some kind of technological breakthrough from the GM.

The shots also show us that the Chevy mule is running around without the white mesh that has been draped over the headlights of every prior prototype. For the inside, we saw the vertical instrument panel of the upcoming Silverado is configured almost identically to the current mode. We saw a large touch screen above buttons and also knobs for the audio and climate controls. From the spy shots, we saw the display above the steering wheel is covered up. It could be a clue that GM is planning an upgrade to that digital screens there from the analog gauges on current’s Silverado. GM is expected to launch the redesigned Chevrolet Silverado and also GMC Sierra in the second half of 2018.
